Activision has confirmed the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released for Wii U during “launch window.” Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is scheduled to release November 13, 2012 for Xbox 360, PC and PS3, and see as the Wii U was recently confirmed for November 18, 2012, chances are good it’ll be within a week or two of the system release. This is yet another example of the Wii U’s attempt the cater to the “hardcore” audience.
The Wii U’s GamePad will be able to display the map or change the player loadout in multiplayer, or if playing locally, one player can use the GamePad as their display, while the other player uses the TV. The game will support up to four controllers, including the Wii U GamePad, ProController, Wii Remote and Nunchuck.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, also confirmed that the game will run on “full HD” at 60fps on Wii U. In addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Activision will also release Transformers Prime (also being released on Wii), 007 Legends, and Skylanders Giants for Wii U.
