Australian Video Game Bar Giving Away Sonic 20th Anniversary Figurine
One of these will be up for grabs this Thursday! (if you happen to live in Brisbane, Australia...)
Just the other day we wrote about the recently announced 20th anniversary Sonic the Hedgehog figurines, of which there are only 1,000 worldwide, and today it has surfaced that one will be up for grabs to anyone lucky enough to be in Brisbane, Australia this Thursday! The Mana Bar, Australia’s first video game-themed bar, will be having a 20th anniversary Sonic party on Thursday, June 23rd, and anyone who attends will be entered in a raffle to win the figure.
The bar has strong ties with the video game industry, often hosting preview and launch parties for games such as Duke Nukem Forever, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Raskulls, and many others. The announcement for the 20th anniversary Sonic figurine giveaway was made on their Facebook page, where they mentioned that they had received one from SEGA Australia. Attendees of the event on Thursday will not only have a chance to win the figure, but will be able to play many retro Sonic the Hedgehog titles such as the original game and subsequent Mega Drive (or Genesis, for all you Americans) and Dreamcast sequels. Of course, Mana Bar’s signature cocktails, such as the Mana Potion (which I have tried and recommend), Ocarina of Lime, Princess Peach, and many others will also be available to purchase, making for an all-around good time.
