‘Battlefield 3′ packaging hints at new ‘Medal of Honor’ game

Medal of Honor Battlefield 3 packaging hints at new Medal of Honor gameWhen you have a game that many are calling a “Call of Duty killer,” you’ll leverage that popularity if you’re smart. It seems that is exactly what DICE and EA are trying to do with the release of Battlefield 3.

According to a NeoGAF post, which is accompanied by a YouTube video of an unboxing, on the opposite side of the Online Pass paper, is the image you see to the right. The paper doesn’t give too much away, but it does look as though 2010′s fairly well-received Medal of Honor won’t be a one and done type of reboot.

DICE has already said that they don’t want to make Battlefield a yearly franchise like Call of Duty has become, but they never ruled out the idea that Battlefield and Medal of Honor could alternate years, much like Activision does with the developers of the Call of Duty franchise, Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

While the paper in question teases gamers to head to the Medal of Honor website, a quick scanning o the site shows nothing hinting at a new release. Perhaps we’ll learn more on the website when Battlefield 3 actually launches on Tuesday. Now we just have to figure out what the enormous “1″ means.
