Classic ‘Marvel vs. Capcom 2′ confirmed for iOS this month

Today, Capcom announced the classic fighting game, Marvel vs. Capcom 2¬†will be released in the App Store on April 25, 2012. The game will include the original 56 playable characters, including Chun-Li, Gambit, Iron Man, Dhalsim and other fan favorites. The game will also include the “Variable System” which allows people to tag in team members at any time. Which means you’ll be able to execute the “Team Hyper Combo” (all three members of a team combine powers) on your iOS. We’ve dropped a line to Capcom to see if an official price has been confirmed.

The title was famous for creating the “Variable System” and has been a critical darling since its release. In fact, many still regard it as one of the pinnacles of the genre. As of now, it does not appear that Capcom is planning to release on Android.
