Looks like Amazon is first out of the gate in the race to get your pre-order money for the Tomb Raider reboot from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix.
On their website, Amazon lists the following incentives for you to pre-order Tomb Raider: The Final Hours edition through them instead of a brick-and-mortar store, including a nice tie-in with the company’s Kindle e-reader:
- An exclusive art book
- In-game skin for Lara Croft
- Digital copy of Geoff Keighley’s The Final Hours of Tomb Raider book for Kindle Fire
Both the book and unlock for the skin will be in the packaging Amazon will ship the game with, and a code to download the book will be emailed a couple of days after the game ships. People who already pre-ordered from Amazon will be included in the promotion.
We’re still waiting to hear what people will get for pre-ordering with the other usual suspects (GameStop, Walmart, and Best Buy).
Tomb Raider is scheduled to launch in early 2013.
