hakuokiillus 610x860 Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi dated for February 19thAksys Games surprised many when they announced they had acquired the rights to localize Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi, the action-adventure sequel to Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom. Now the game has a release date, and it’s coming just over a year after Demon of the Fleeting Blosoom debuted in English: February 19th.

Warriors of the Shinsengumi sees the character and setting fans of Demon of the Fleeting Blossom grew to love and adore in action-packed   Dynasty Warriors-esque scenarios where players actually get to control their favorite members of the Shinsengumi. The game features two different story modes: one where players get to relive the epic battles of Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, and another that presents the opportunity to change history. Regardless of whether or not you’ve played Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, you probably know that almost all of the historical Shinsengumi warriors died for their cause… Will Warriors of the Shinsengumi present an alternate future where they all survive?

All retail copies of Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi for the PSP will come with a full-color character guide featuring the game’s eight playable characters. Those interested in preordering a physical copy of the game (remember, only digital copies will work on the PS Vita) would be wise to do so from Amazon, as the site will be receiving an exclusive preorder bandana bonus, shown below.
