‘Hatsune Miku Project Diva f’ increases Japan’s PS Vita sales 380%

Hatsune Miku Project Diva f increases Japans PS Vita sales 380%Earlier this summer, Sony reported an increase in Japanese PS Vita sales with the release of Persona 4 Golden, but that was nothing compared to this weeke’s release of Hatsune Miku Project Diva f. Sony is reporting PS Vita sales increased 380% with the release of the rhythm game, jumping the handheld from #5 in hardware sales to #2. This places the Vita above the PS3 but trailing Nintendo 3DS.

This impressive leap in sales may lend credit to Sony’s previous statement that they are projecting huge sales this holiday from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation bundle and the Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified bundle. Recently, Sony revealed PS Vita’s sales numbers worldwide, which showed the PSP is still outselling the newer handheld by a large margin.

As of now, SEGA has not confirmed when, if ever, Hatsune Miku Project Diva f will release on Western shores.
