Square Enix and IO Interactive have announced the Barcode Society, a website dedicated to all things Hitman. The blog, run by IO Interactive, will be your source for all Hitman news, looks behind-the-scenes, access to the game’s developers, and information regarding development of the bald assassin. Additionally, fans will have access to exclusive concept art, screenshots, contests, and other information unavailable anywhere else on the web.
IO Interactive is making the Barcode Society exclusively for the community and fans of the Hitman series. An official forum has been made available to members to express site feedback, share stories, talk about the upcoming game, or even create their own fan fiction. IO Interactive has planned weekly updates featuring new stories, unique looks at the upcoming game, information and other goodies from previous Hitman titles, and exclusive community features! The site will also feature insight into the development of AAA titles including and excluding the upcoming Hitman Absolution.

Previews have shown a mix of familiar gameplay and new elements. Agent 47 now touts a “detective vision” similar to Batman: Arkham City. Hitman Absolution is expected to release for Xbox 360, Windows, and PlayStation 3 in 2012, and again follows the main protagonist, Agent 47.

Wait how can it include and exclude a game?
Yeah it’s a confusing sentence after I re-read it. It includes Hitman and includes other games, too, according to reports.
