New ‘Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition’ Eyecandy

super street fighter IV 3d edition logo 150x150 New ‘Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition’ EyecandyNormally we don’t get screenshot happy and post every new gameplay trailer that publishers send us, but we’re catching Nintendo 3DS fever. And since yours truly was playing Street Fighter II religiously at 7-11’s back in the day, Capcom’s 3D translation of Street Fighter IV gets us hot and bothered.

SSFIV 3D boasts a roster of 35 playable characters, online and local wifi multiplayer, and the new Figurine Mode. (The collectible meta-game features figurines of iconic characters. When passing by another Nintendo 3DS owner, your chosen figurines will automatically battle via StreetPass. Next time you play the game you can view the results and collect your loot.)

What you’re seeing was released today during Nintendo’s 3DS Preview Event in New York, amidst a flurry of 3DS launch news. If seeing is believing, consider us faithful. The gameplay is smooth, crisp and stunning and we haven’t even experienced it in 3D yet.
