Assassin’s Creed 3 has impressed the VGW staff time and time again with its epic trailers and spectacular in-person demonstrations at both PAX East and E3. The title brought home several awards, including “Best in Show” at PAX East 2012.
Now, according to a box art posting on Amazon UK, PlayStation 3 players will see a bit more of Assassin’s Creed 3 than players on other platforms. The European box art for Assassin’s Creed 3 shows the words “PS3 Exclusive Edition: Includes 60 minutes of exclusive Gameplay,” but doesn’t tell anything beyond that.
This isn’t the first time that Ubisoft has given Sony’s PS3 the upper hand. In 2010, players of the PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood received a free bonus DLC add-on for the Copernicus Conspiracy, which featured extra side-missions, assassinations and protection missions for Ezio to complete. Then, just last year, PlayStation 3 owners were treated to a free beta for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
Assassin’s Creed 3 releases for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 October 30 alongside its Vita companion title, Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation. The game has also been confirmed to be releasing for the upcoming Nintendo Wii U. No word on if other consoles will receive exclusive content as well.
