The magazine Dengeki PlayStation has claimed that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has planned DLC in the form of VR missions and sub stories featuring other members of the game’s cast, according to a report at Siliconera.
This news, though not exactly surprising, shows that Platinum is giving MGR:R the full Metal Gear treatment. After all, virtually every core Metal Gear Solid title to date has featured VR training missions, whether in the original version or in a special edition subsequently released. These days, however, DLC makes a lot more sense, and ensures that players need not buy another full copy of a game they already own.
Platinum or Konami have yet to confirm this news, so fans will just have to stick with playing the demo for now, which has released to everyone on the PSN, and to Gold members on Xbox Live. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will release on PS3 and Xbox 360 February 19 in North America and February 21 and 22 in Europe and the UK, respectively.
