In rumor news that should surprise few, a memo from Ubisoft to GameStop has appeared online possibly confirming a season pass for October’s Assassin’s Creed III. The memo thanks the employees of GameStop for their hard work selling pre-orders (the steelbook was a nice touch), and says “We know you’re familiar with the ‘Season Pass’ concept and, beginning shortly, we’ll start to take pre-orders of our very own.”
The memo also confirms that Ubisoft has an entire team dedicated to “post-launch episodic content” for Assassin’s Creed III, to continue the potential “game fo the year” experience. Also, it probably goes without saying that they’ll be hyping the season pass as a pre-order bonus as a better value. No word as to whether or not the DLC will be singleplayer or multiplayer, but here’s hoping that it something more substantial than maps and skins for multiplayer.
Assassin’s Creed III is set to release for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 30, 2012.

Set to release sometime in 2012 for Wii U
Anyway I kinda like this, since I have trouble getting eshop content because of region differences and stuff. I think a season pass will be easier to get and less trouble for me and cheaper too. Unless it’s more multiplayer than single player content, I wouldn’t like that.
