Three pieces of concept art appear for ‘Dragon Age 3: Inquisition’

On Saturday, three new pieces of concept art appeared on BioWare’s blog for the upcoming Dragon Age 3: Inquisition. As of now, details are scant, at best, about the project, though Executive Producer Mark Darrah posted last month that the game will feature a new engine based upon DICE’s Frostbite 2. The new engine will reportedly allow for high customization and player choice with in the game.

While nothing has been confirmed, the ending of Dragon Age II pointed toward Orlais, and while the concept art doesn’t scream Orlais, having Inquisition in the title may be a good indicator. The Inquisition were the folks responsible for hunting down mages and heretics during the first blight and later joined with the Chantry to form the Seekers of Truth. The Seekers were featured prominently in Dragon Age II, as the entire story was told via flashback as Cassandra of the Seekers quizzes Varric on the Champion of Kirkwall.

No official release date or information has been released yet, but Darrah assured fans that the same team from Dragon Age: Origins is working on the next installment.
