TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2012 poll includes Ken Levine
In case you weren’t convinced video games are, in fact, a big deal, Irrational Games’ Ken Levine is featured in TIME magazine’s top 100 people of 2012 poll. Levine is the only video game industry professional on the list, which includes Warren Buffet, Hillary Clinton, George Clooney and Newt Gingrich. Of course, the list all includes LMFAO and Beyonce, so, take that as you will.
It’s huge boon to the video game industry to have someone has influential as Levine even recognized by the magazine poll which tends to stick more to mainstream media figures. Granted, when you create a game as deeply ingrained in literary and political theories as was BioShock, you’re bound to pique a few radars.
Recently, Levine proved to be a class-act when he came to BioWare’s defense during the public demands for a new ending to Mass Effect 3. If you haven’t yet checked out his level of immersion in BioShock Infinite‘s world, be sure to check out his heavy hitters videos. Now go over and vote for the man and knock LMFAO off that list!
