Ubisoft announces robust Wii U lineup

Ubisoft livestream 300x184 Ubisoft announces robust Wii U lineupUbisoft had quite the impressive press conference at E3 this year. From the impressive surprise, Watch Dogs, to the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry 3, there was a lot to love about what many are considering the best press conference of E3 2012 so far.

In addition to those titles, Ubisoft also announced a robust and diverse lineup of titles coming to Nintendo’s Wii U. Ubisoft reiterated that Assassin’s Creed III will be joining the lineup of multiplatform titles coming to Wii U, and that the popular Just Dance franchise will continue through Just Dance 4, but the publisher also had a fair share of exclusives to the Wii U, as well. The mysteriously horrifying Zombi U gave off a Dead Island-esque vibe in its trailer, but not many solid details were given. Luckily, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, has said we will learn more about the title tomorrow (likely during Nintendo’s press conference).

Two titles from the Rayman universe will also appear on Wii U with the wacky Rabbids Land, and the exciting Rayman Legends. Ubisoft will also be riding the momentum of the Avengers film by bringing Avengers: Battle for Earth to Wii U this year.

Finally, Wii U players will be able to hop onto the fitness bandwagon that has been ushered in with the advent of home motion controls, as Ubisoft will be launching Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013 and Sports Connection. It all adds up to Ubisoft potentially dominating sales for the upcoming Wii U launch. As Guillemot following the press conference, we will likely learn much more about the Wii U lineup from Ubisoft and other companies tomorrow at Nintendo’s press conference.

So beings Ubisoft alone has pushed me towards buying a Wii U I think Nintendo should just leave all the quality games up to Ubisoft because not only do Ubisofts own games look insane but their Wii U titles are looking to be on par with Nintendos own big titles. I was alittle hurt when I saw the U logo on ZombiU. But hey well done I mite get a Wii U just for your title.
