Ubisoft and Penguin Publishing have announced an upcoming novel set within the Assassin’s Creed universe, Assassin’s Creed: Forsaken. The book will take place just before the latest installment to the game franchise, Assassin’s Creed III, and will feature the main character, Connor. Few other details have been released, save that the book will give gamers a closer look at Connor’s story and history.
The book will be penned by Oliver Bowden, who wrote the previous Assassin’s Creed novelizations as well. Bowden is a historian and historic novelist, whose work generally takes place during the Renaissance, but as an avid gamer (and fan of the AC universe), his work should fit well in American Revolution.
Assassin’s Creed III will be available October 30, 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Assassin’s Creed: Forsaken will be available December 4, 2012.
