This week, Jen welcomes special guests Adam Greene of Marooner’s Rock, Brian Ambrozy of Icrontic and Russ Pirozek of Digital Noob to discuss their experiences at the recent Darksiders II Community Event Summit. After two full days of gameplay, the group walked away with favorable opinions on combat, story and playability.

The group raves about the itemization and customization, though Jen worries that Darksiders II may suffer from “Firefly syndrome,” and Brian laments the tendency to write off gamers as neanderthals who just want to smash everything in sight. Despite their fears that they sound like THQ shills, we think the group makes some insightful, compelling arguments for why you should be excited for Darksiders II.
Want to get your hands on a neat piece of Darksiders II swag? Okay, so it’s not as neat as Adam’s prize, but this gold leaf notebook is still pretty cool. Listen to the podcast and drop us a line to contests@videogamewriters.com, telling us how many people on the cast are reading the Darksiders II: Abomination Vault novel. It’s the type of question that makes Jen swoon.

I’m listening to episode #41 which I downloaded from iTunes. The podcast content doesn’t match up with it’s description. Sounds like a pre E3 2012 podcast with a lot of speculation. I’m at the half hour mark and not a word about Darksiders 2 yet. Perhaps the wrong file was uploaded to iTunes, just thought I’d let you know. Love the show! Keep up the good work!
Our apologies for that, Alexander! For maybe two minutes after publishing, we had linked to Episode 31 instead of 41. MOST people should be in the clear, but you probably downloaded right when we posted it. Here is a direct link to the right episode: http://videogamewriters.com/podcasts/unlimitedammo41.mp3
And you thought no one would notice! Haha, thanks for the link!
